We invite you to join us as one of our two Facility Coordinators, where you are visibly present on the work floor and take full ownership of the technical and facility-related operations of our sites in Zwijnaarde or Astene.

You are not a bystander, but a hands-on person who leads teams, addresses problems immediately, and dares to make decisions.

Safety, quality and continuity are not mere procedures for you, but daily priorities. You actively ensure that installations, processes and working methods function reliably, compliantly and safely.

In a technically complex environment, you ensure that each site operates smoothly every day, without compromises on safety or quality.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Management: first point of contact for HVAC, climate control, water and energy management, and infrastructure
  • Leadership: coordinating technicians and logistics staff, including organising a 24/7 on-call service (acting as back-up yourself)
  • Maintenance: responsible for all corrective and preventive maintenance tasks on-site, including preparing and managing maintenance budgets
  • Project Support: contributing to expansions and major renovations, including input for investment budgets
  • Operational Management: directing and optimising all operational processes within facility management
  • Administration: maintaining oversight of ongoing work, orders, and maintenance contracts
  • Installation Responsibility: selecting and supervising contractors, drafting work and fire permits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Logistical Flow: final responsibility for the full logistical flow on-site, including goods reception, storage of consumables, and waste streams; managing and coaching the logistics team in close collaboration with EHS

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor or Master in (electro)mechanics, industrial sciences, facility management, or equivalent.
  • Experience: preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience in operational facility management, ideally in a technically complex environment (e.g. R&D labs, production, or high-tech infrastructure).
  • Technical Knowledge: preferably experience with HVAC systems, electricity, water treatment, climate control, building management systems, AutoCAD.
  • Soft Skills: hands-on mentality, problem-solving, communicative.
  • Language: Dutch (good proficiency required), English.
