Responsibilities

As a Data Integration Specialist in Agricultural Solutions in R&D you will combine your technical, analytical, and teamwork skills to support data integration, workflow optimization, data analysis, and data & file management approaches. Serving as a bridge between data management and scientific research, you will help teams maximize data value and advance discoveries. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, inquisitive, communicative, and dedicated to supporting scientific progress with effective data solutions.

  • You will clean, transform and standardize large datasets to ensure consistency and accuracy for downstream analysis.
  • You will integrate disparate data sources, including historical data, scripts and dashboards into cohesive, well-structured systems.
  • You will use your advanced skills in scripting languages such as Python (and R) for data wrangling, automation of repetitive tasks, and develop reproducible data workflows.
  • You will design, develop, and maintain dashboards using platforms like Power BI, R Shiny, or Python-based frameworks for clear and actionable insights.
  • You will tackle data integration and analysis challenges, troubleshoot issues, and devise innovative solutions for complex research workflows.
  • You will create thorough and clear documentation for data pipelines, integration processes, and dashboard usage to support knowledge transfer and reproducibility.
  • You will utilize your strong communication skills to liaise with researchers, IT staff, and decision-makers, translating technical concepts into accessible language.
  • You will train team members on data handling best practices and provide ongoing support for adopted solutions.

Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics or a related field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an R&D or research-heavy environment, with demonstrable expertise in data integration and workflow optimization.
  • You have technical proficiency in SQL, Python, data visualization tools (Power BI), and are preferably familiar with ETL frameworks, HPC environments, and cloud data platforms.
  • You have experience working with biological, environmental, or agricultural research data, biological research processes and experimental design.
  • You possess an analytical mindset, attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and process improvement.
  • You have experience in managing timelines, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating deliverables across multiple stakeholders in a research environment.
