As the EU Regulatory Manager Seeds&Traits you are responsible to support regulatory projects, regulatory strategies, submission activities and registration actions associated with our seeds & traits portfolio in the EU. You collaborate with others in relevant industry associations at EU level with the aim to develop regulatory policies and frameworks within the EU. You establish an effective working relationship with government authorities.

Responsibilities

  • You support the local submission strategy and assist in the compilation of regulatory dossiers for seeds & traits products in the EU.
  • You support regulatory strategies (timelines, resources, data requirements, order of operations…) to achieve EU registration of seeds & traits products, taking into account: the situation in the EU regulatory and political environment, the business priority of the projects globally and government approvals in other parts of the world.
  • You assist in the compilation of regulatory dossier submissions for EU EFSA, and you coordinate expert responses to questions achieving and renewing registrations in line with business plans.
  • You engage with EU regulatory agencies and local industry associations on EU priority issues promoting science-based approaches and contribute in conveying industry messages to selected stakeholders.
  • You establish & maintain knowledge of EU government regulations and working relationships with key EU regulatory authorities reporting new developments that may impact products to Regulatory Affairs Management.
  • You ensure 100% compliance for all regulated crops/organisms’ requirements and conditions under your responsibility.

Qualifications

  • You hold a PhD in the field of agriculture (or a related scientific discipline), or you have an MS degree in agriculture (or a related scientific field) with initial experience in a role relevant to understanding Seeds & Traits dossiers.
  • You demonstrate excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • You bring strong analytical and writing skills.
  • You communicate effectively, with a focus on concise summarization of technical material, reporting on developments, and negotiating with government personnel.
  • You are fluent in English, and you have a good working knowledge of at least one additional EU language.
